My Manic Shoe Obsession

Hey there! We haven't been formerly introduce have we?
My name is Brandie and I have an obsession with all things beautiful. People, places, clothes and even food (because I LOVE to eat). However, my fixation on shoes has become quite interesting over the years. I purchased my very first pair of stilleto heels at age 16 from ALDO for the first day of school. It was my senior year so I wanted to show off to say the least lol. Walking through the halls of my school heels clicking as they touched the tiled floor. You could literally hear me coming, and thats what I wanted. By the end of the day my feet hurt soooo bad. But I was a
show stopper and I had made a statement so it was worth it. Thats where it all began....

Now I want you all to understand the post here will include combination of styles and shoes for ladies including, but not limited to, heels, sneakers, sandals, boots, wedges, etc.  Now I'm not made of money lets make that clear right now. I work a regular eight hour job answering phones in customer service. Needless to say after the bills are paid I can't always afford to bless my feet with a pair of Jimmy Choo's or Guiseppe Zanotti's because, well lets face it, I'd be spending my rent money. However I do firmly beleive that a hard working woman deserves to treat her self every once in a while.

Here at Sole Sick, we'll explore some of the hottest shoes in the world of fashion and on the streets. From the rediculously expensive to the ones you get for a steal. We'll gawk together at the lethal heights of the heels and the elborate details of flats and sneakers. If it's hot and is made to adorn your feet, you'll see it here. Simple as that! Keep in mind I'm new to this blogging thing so please be patient with me and know that I'm always open for suggestions and feedback. Please don't  hesistate to share your thoughts with me. Thanks for the love!

Yours Truly,

SPRING OBSESSIONS

It's finally here people! The season I've been waiting four long cold months. I'm a April baby (Shout out all the Taurus') so I'd much rather have a sunny day slightly cloudy and a light breeze than below freezing cloudy with a chance of snow. Listen to me I sound like one of those meteorologist who get paid to speculate all the damn time. With new seasons comes new trends. The pointed toe pumps are making a huge comeback....wait did they ever go anywhere? In my opinion the pointed toe pump has always been and forever will be a style classic. Never to go out of style.

This season, pointed toe pumps can be found in up-to-date trends such as bright and metalic colors! Those Manolo Blahniks sing to my heart!

We're also seeing a new take on the gladiator shoe arise. Different designers from Alexander Wang to Tom Ford have taken this style and put a new spin on it to make it their own.

Color blocking is also back for another season. I must say i'm happy to see this trend reappear this season :)

Pierre Hardy Spring 2013 Collection

On days like this when it's cold and ugly with an undesirable mixture of snow and rain, all I can seem to do is anticipate my favorite time of year. Spring! Yes I know it's already March but we're experiencing this nasty winter storm here in Baltimore. Seventy degree, sunny, slightly breezy days are not far away though. So in trying to divert my attention from the wet mess occurring outside of my window, I came accross Pierre Hardy's Spring 2013 Collection. Let me just say i'm definitely intrigued. To begin, I can't get enough of the d'orsey styled shoe this season so it was the blue suede colorblock sandals that captured my attention. They're deviant yet classy (alot like me) and gives any garb major sex appeal. This collection does that and so much more! Taking it to the next level with bright colors and textures that no shoe addict could resist. These were meant to be the star of an ensemble and turn heads. And believe you me , this collection does not disappoint.
